"Only rarely does one come across a garden so ambitious and successful as the one at Veddw House."
Stephen Anderton in 'the Times'
"The garden is full of surprises not only in its design and bold planting but in its reference to the ancient landscape and woods beyond. At every turn there is something to absorb.."
Francoise Murat "A new garden in an old place:" Country Life

Group Visits
Groups of 10 or more by appointment afternoons and evenings during June, July and August, £7.00 each.
We are happy for parties of 10 or less than 10 to visit by appointment on other days than Sundays, but the fee is then £60 inclusive, whatever the number. (ie £50 for one, or two, or three, up to and including ten. Over 10 people £6.50 each.) Guided tour by Anne Wareham £40.
Please don't plan 'recce' visits when we are closed for the year (ie from September to June) - we need the break and such visits absolutely don't do justice to the garden. We regularly have coach parties, so if that is your worry can feel reassured that you should have no problems. (see 'how to find us')
Coach parties: please see page 'How to Find Us'
Please note that we have stopped our association with the RHS and are no longer a 'recommended garden' - we cannot afford to offer free entry. The RHS is not orientated towards gardens like ours - they assume gardens will make money from sales of plants, teas, sundries etc and we don't do any of that, so we just lose out with the recommended garden arrangement.
Remember - we pay tax on the entrance fee too.
Talks
Discovering Gardens in Wales
Charles has photographed 20 of the most important and interesting gardens in Wales for a book 'Discovering Welsh Gardens'. Stephen Anderton is the author and the book was published in March 2009 by Graffeg. Charles is available to give talks on gardens in Wales, drawing on the photographs for the book and his robust opinions of the gardens. Signed copies of the book will be available at the talks.
Ideas to Steal from Chaumont Garden Festival
Charles has photographed at the festival for many years and has a wide range of photographs of the amazing gardens which have appeared over the years. Stimulating, challenging and fun.
Thoughts on the design at Veddw House Garden
Powerpoint presentation by Anne Wareham using Charles' photographs of the garden.
Fees for all the talks are negotiable but start at £120 plus travel.
